Upgrade the BIOS by inserting the USB flash drive (I used the front left port), power on then press F12 for the boot menu and select the flash drive. I downloaded the latest BIOS (B3A) from the Lenovo website and created a USB flash drive on a Windows Laptop by following the instructions. The server came with two 500GB hard drives and to reduce the risk of confusion I removed the spare one before starting the installation. The TS140 onboard graphics ports are 1 x VGA and 2 x DisplayPort, so I plugged the monitor cable into the (top) DisplayPort connector with a DP to VGA adapter and pressed on regardless. I unpacked my shiny new server and started to connect my peripherals when I noticed the first potential problem as the only spare monitor that I had available was my vintage Acer AL1913 which is VGA only and we all know of the compatibility problems with VGA and OS X. This guide will cover the installation process for the OS X workstation portion of my plans. The TS140 is remarkably quiet, has easy access and needs no tools to install / replace (most) components. I also want to run it as an OS X Workstation, an OS X Server and a Windows 7 Workstation with a view to upgrading to Windows 10 at a later date. I had it in mind to replace my ageing Compaq Proliant M元70 server which is SCSI based, uses an inordinate quantity of disks to achieve a relatively small amount of storage and on a sunny day it’s like sharing a room with a hovercraft. This the second of my ‘Off the shelf’ builds came about when I had the opportunity to purchase a ThinkServer at a very reasonable price on eBay. Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical - Mouse - optical - 5 button(s) - wired - PS/2, USB - OEMĪcer AL1913 Monitor - No longer available Macbook Pro Retina (late2013) works ok with Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt on 60fps.Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's GuideĬherry Initial G82-27020 PC / Mac, Keyboard - White Let me know if I can help you with any testing. Unfortunately I don't have graphics adapter "more" compatible with OSX to continue testing, but will do this if get Mac edition graphics adapter just to exclude versions with the wrong motherboard's kexts. 3 inputs work together on FullHD, with 60fps. There are no problems on the same machine when booted windows7 or windows10. It says that GTX960 uses only 8 PCI lanes, but this adapter works in power saving mode by default anyway, and uses only 8 PCI lanes until needed more.

And more than 5 layers with Full HD content also plays on 50-60fps.Ĭoncerning system report. But still strange that Wirecast works ok. That's the reasons why I think that the problem is somewhere in Nvidia driver or adapter. It looks like it turns of leaving checkers on the background for 1 or 2 frames and than turns on again. There are no errors, but output stays black.Īnother thing that I've noticed, that preview flickering from time to time, especially when previewing blackmagics. (of course there is a huge delay in almost 1 sec). In the same time, Wirecast works without any issues on the same resolutions on the same system, even when making output to virtual camera that can be used in resolume without fps lost.

Strange thing is that Activity monitor do not shows noticeable processor or memory activity changes when captures turns on. Capture still usable on SD resolutions (FPS comes down to 25-30frames). Even when capture is the only active source on composition. FPS comes down from 60 to 12-13 when Blackmagic turns on.

In my case, this problem exists only on Hackintosh (Yosemite, El capitan).
